TERRILL PERCUSSION

Terrill Percussion.....the sounds of Africa in Suburbia........

Terrill Percussion began with the building of Ashikos (originally from Nigeria) from recycled materials. It has always been the philosophy of the company to be able to create quality instruments at affordable prices. Due to demand, we have also imported African shells from Ghana, Mali and the Ivory Coast to supplement the Ashiko family.

Terrill Percussion also facilitates workshops and has done so at a variety of events. To list but a few:

~ Globe to Globe Festival, Kingston, Victoria.

~ Ecofest 2004

~ School Holiday Programs

~ Unemployment Programs

~ The Mental Health Association (ERMHA)

~ Chisolm Tafe (Victoria)

~ The Salvation Army

~ Australia Day Celebrations at Frankston and Mornington

~ In-school classes

~ Inner Wheel Association

~ Carers Respite Centre

Terrill Percussion caters for up to 40 participants, each with a drum to play. Participants are shown correct hand posture and shown a variety of rhythms to play. Most participants report feeling wonderful afterward!

Many people today have never played a musical instrument. Drumming gives a certain amount of instant gratification. You hear it and FEEL it.

If you have never laid your hands on a drum, contact Terrill Percusion!!!

Drumming opens doors. it does so by increasing self-esteem and fosters a sense of community because it is a communal activity. Don't think twice.............just drum!!
